MOPAR Scat Package Introduced at SEMA

Taking a journey back to 1968, when muscle cars were very prominent and it was also a time when Dodge, the American automaker, first brought its new models to an even higher performance level. With the introduction of the Scat Package, the Scat Pack Club was officially born.

At first the Scat Pack Club was limited to specific parts upgrades, after a while it became more of a theme that encompassed Dodge and the available after-market performance parts.

Fast forward to present day and you'll see the Scat Packs are very much alive and well. Moreover, the brand unveiled three new iterations at SEMA, recently. One variant is to boost performance - one for the Challenger, another for the Charger and a third for the Dodge Dart. Scat Packs 1 2 and 3 (as they're called), for their respective models will be available in the spring of 2014.

So, what included in the new Scat Packs?

In the simple sense, they add lots of power. Package 1 for the new 2014 Challenger, for example, utilizes MOPAR's cold-air intake for increased air flow to the engine and a full cat-back exhaust system for increased air flow downstream. The Challenger's motor - a very powerful 5.7-liter HEMI - is further optimized with a new performance calibrated controller, which is also included in Scat Package 1.
